2012 News: Watch
for many changes during the 2012 season. Things may change, but one thing remains the same, Winning!
Keith
named as the driver of the famous 'Ole Blue' on the Whelen Modified Tour.
Role changes as Keith fields
his own Team at the Waterford Speedbowl in the SK Modified action.
April 15 2012
- Thompson Speedway - Running in the Top 5 the first half of the race, Keith and the BRE #3 are at the wrong place at the
wrong time as they get caught up in a mid-pack wreck. Everyone is looking forward to their next run at the Spring Sizzler.
April 14 2012 - Thompson Speedway - Debut in "Ole Blue" - Fourth fastest in Time trials.
April 14 2012 - Waterford Speedbowl - No practice, no problem. Keith finishes second in Heat race in a side
by side battle with the #51 car. In the feature Keith passes Tom Able in the final turn of the final lap to pick-up
his second Win of the season. Special thanks to Jeff Rocco for scuffing in all the tires during practice.
April
7 2012- Waterford Speedbowl - While battling for the lead with 14 laps to go, Keith was run up into the marbles where
he made a great save, but ended up getting front end damage that sidelined him for the night with a 15th place finish.
Congratulations to Jeff Rocco in the M&M Stone Solutions #57 on his first podium finish (3rd) in just his fourth race
at the Speedbowl. In the Late Model action Keith would have another impressive run in the Scott Fern #1 with a 2nd place
finish.
April 1 2012- Waterford Speedbowl - Keith starts out the season just how he finished it in
2011, in Victory Lane. The big difference was, he was the car owner and driver. Keith took the lead early on,
and would record his fourth Blast-off Victory and would move into second place on the all time SK Modified win list with SK
Win 37 and Speedbowl victory 45. Special thanks to Vasel Brothers, D&G Paving, Wheeler's Auto, B&M Maintenance,
Studio Brow, Pettit Race Engines and M&M Stone Solutions. In Late Model action Keith finished the race in Victory
Lane just like the last race of the year. Keith would lead all 50 laps to pick-up his second win in the last two races.
A special note, crew chief turned driver Jeff Rocco had a strong 9th place finish. Next race on April 8th at the Bowl.
2011 News:
October 16 2011- Thompson Speedway - Mod Tour
debut in the M&M Stone Creations #57. Starting 34th in the field Keith would have a solid 6th place finish in the
season ending Whelan Modified Tour race. See Keith in more Tour action next season.
October 9 2011-
Speedbowl- Last weekend at the Bowl for 2011 - Keith would end the afternoon like he's ended many features at the Bowl
with the Win, his 13th of the season and his third in a row. Also cappinf off a great weekend, Keith would pick-up his
first career Win the Late Model Division in the Scott Fearn #1. Keith would end the season tied for second with Jeff
Pearl on the all-time SK Mod Win list with 36 Wins. That would also be Keith's 43rd career Win in four different
divisions.
October 6 2011- Thompson Speedway - Keith would have a great Heat race win, then in the feature
he would jump out to a big lead until fuel problems started to hound him, he would limp around to a 12th place finish, but
he would Win the Championship by 6 points, giving Mark and Mike Pane their first Championship at Thompson and Keith's
third.
October 1 2011 - Waterford Speedbowl - Keith makes it two in a row picking Win #12, breaking his
record yet another week, and clinching his second championship in a row at the Bowl. Scott Fearn's #1 was back in
action and Keith picked up a 4th place finish.
September 29 2011 - Thompson Speedway - Rained out, Championship
night waits another week.
September 24 2011 - Waterford Speedbowl - The pressure of the Nationals is over,
and Keith goes back to his old ways picking up Win #11, breaking his record of 10 from last year.
September
22 2011 - Thompson Speedway - Rained out
September 17 2011 - Waterford Speedbowl - Keith is wrecked
while leading the feature, some say he was spun out of the lead, but what's the difference between being spun and being
wrecked? Answer - A front clip.
September 16 2011 - Stafford Motor Speedway - Do or Die Night - Needing
two full field wins in the last two races is not impossible for Keith, but the old saying that the fastest car doesn't
always win is very true. Keith began the night steadily marching to the front, while moving into the 6th spot Keith
was accidently spun. Now it was "Do or Die" and all Keith would do was excite. He quickly moved from
14th into the Top 10, but with 5 laps to go Keith was running sixth, with some exciting moves Keith would battle to 3rd place
before running out of time. Congratulations to Philip Morris on his 4th National Championship.
September
15 2011 - Thompson Speedway - Rained Out
September 11 2011 - Thompson Speedway - Keith and the M&M
motorsports would finally pick-up a Win this weekend as Keith captured his 100th career Win. Big weekend comming up
as Keith needs to Win two full field features with Philip Morris going win less to win the National Championship. Stay
Tuned.....
September 10 2011 - Waterford Speedbowl - Qualifying day at Thompson - Keith would miss his Heat
race as he traveled back from Thompson, meaning he would start in the 16th position. Keith worked his way up slowly
looking like he would be to far from race leader Tyler Chadwick when the caution would fly with 2 laps to go. Keith
would give it all he had, but he used up to much of the car working his way through the field finishing one position short
in 2nd.
September 9 2011- Stafford Motor Speedway - Keith and the Wheelers Automotive car were hooked up
and quickly moved to the front. The only problem was Ryan Preece who followed Keith all the way to the front where the
two would put on a great battle for the fans, swapping the lead back and forth. Keith would fall short as Ryan Preece
picked up the Win.
September 3 2011 - Waterford Speedbowl - 150 Nationals - Tire conservation, pitstops,
wrecks and more wrecks. The 150 had it all, Keith would pit with 55 laps to go, and he would get caught up in a minor
altercation, which cut the left rear. From the back again up to 6th when he was caught up in a major wreck. Great
pit work by the M&M Motorsports team would get Keith out without losing a lap (two tires, am contol arm and the radiator).
Keith would run his fastest lap of the race on lap 142, but would run out of time and finish 7th.
September
2 2011 - Stafford Motor Speedway - Suspended
September 1 2011 - Thompson Speedway - Rained out
August 27 2011 - Waterford Speedbowl - Rained out, Winner Hurricane Irene.
August 26 2011 - Stafford
Motor Speedway - Keith would recover from two early race incidents to finish 8th in the Late Model race. In the SK Mods
Keith would move quicly into the lead, only to be spun out of the lead. From the back of the pak Keith would charge
up to 4th, on the last lap Keith would be involved in a wreck with Eric Burnt who was running 3rd, both cars received severe
damage with Keith's car going up in flames. Both drivers were Okay. Keith would finish 18th.
August 25
2011 - Thompson Speedway - Rained out.

Motorsports crew would rally from an early race spin to finish a respectable 4th place.
August 19 2011 -
Stafford Motor Speedway - Never Give Up - Keith would start the night out with a 2nd place finish in the Late Models.
In the SK feature it looked like Keith was going to have a 2nd place finish, but when the caution flew with 6 laps to go,
Keith was ready to pounce. Keith worked his way to the inside of Ryan Preece as the two ran side by side for 6 laps,
Keith would beat Preece to the checkers by half a car length. Career Win #99. August 18 2011 - Thompson
Speedway - Strange engine problems would end Keith's night as he was leading the race. 9th place finish.
August 13 2011 - Waterford Speedbowl - Keith picks up 10th Win of the season to start out Wings and Wheels.
To close the night Keith started 21st and raced his way to third having one ogf the best performances of the night.
Career Win number 98. Worst finish of the entire weekend 3rd.
August 12 2011 - Stafford
Motor Speedway - The race that took a month and a half - Keith and the M&M Motorsports Team picked up their first
career Bob Valenti Modified Racing Series feature that was held over from the end of June. Keith would have a great
battle with Matt Hirshman, and Doug Coby, but would eventually pull away in the last 9 laps. Congratulations to the
entire Team, M&M Stone Solutions, Wheelers Automotive, B&M Maintainance and Pettit Racing Engines and their awesome
horsepower. In the Late Model action would have another good finish with a 2nd to Ryan Possoco. In the SK Mod
action Keith would fall just short finishing second to Ryan Preece. While coming from the 15th starting position, Keith
hit wheels avoiding multiple wrecks, but knocked the toe out.
August 11 2011 - Thompson Speedway - Another
Top-3 for the M&M Motorsports Team as they finished 2nd and padded their point lead.
August 6 2011 -
Waterford Speedbowl - The record that will have to be shared for now - Keith and the M&M Motorsports Team came up
short of his 6th victory in a row at the Bowl. He would have to settle for 5th and pad his point lead.
August
5 2011 - Stafford Motor Speedway - From the "Back" to the "Front" - Keith and his Wheeler Automotive
#88 put on a show Friday night as they move from the back to the front and once their had a heated battle for the lead with
Ryan Preece and Ted Christopher. Ted would make a last ditch effort to rattle Keith's cage, but Keith stayed poised
and drove the #88 like dirt car across the finish line picking up his 7th Victory at SMS and his 4th in a row.
August
4 2011 - Thompson Speedway - Keith and the M&M Motorsports Team rack up another Top-3 with a 3rd place finish.
July 30 2011 - Waterford Speedbowl - Keith and the M&M Motorsports cruised to their 5th Win in a row, their
8th of the Season, Keith's 32nd in the SK's at the Bowl, Keith's 38th Bowl Win, Keith's 85th SK Win, Keith's
95th big track Win and his 20th SK Win so far this year and his 23rd total Win so far in 2011. A lot of personal records
set, during an incredible season with still a month and a half to go.
July 29 2011 - Stafford Motor Speedway
- Rained Out
July 28 2011 - Thompson Speedway - From Green to Checkered - Keith and the M&M
Motorsports Team finish a solid second. Congratualations go out to Danny Cates for picking up his first win of the season.
July 23 2011 - Waterford Speedbowl - "Turn up the Heat" the dog days of summer are not slowing
Keith down at all. Starting from the 9th position Keith would quickly move to the front and Win his 8th of the season
and his 4th in a row. This would be the second time this year that Keith would complete the sweep of the "Big Three".
Note this was career SK Win #84.
July 22 2011 - Stafford Motor Speedway - "150 Night" - The Heat
Wave continued and so did the hot streak Keith's been on lately. Being patient Keith worked his way to the front
and on Lap 77 Keith took the lead and never looked back. This would be Keith and the Wheeler Automotive Team's 7th
Win of the season at SMS, putting Keith within 8 points of Ryan Preece. In the Late Model action a flat tire would slow
Keith down, finishing 13th.
July 21 2011 - Thompson Speedway - The Roll is still Rolling as Keith and the
M&M Motorsports Team pick-up Win #5. Keith also won the Tour Type Mod Heat. More results to follow.
Keith would have a solid run in the Tour Type Mod finishing fourth.
July 16 2011 - Waterford Speedbowl -
Keith and the M&M Motorsports Team pick-up Win #7 in a dominating fashion. This was Keith's 30th career SK Mod
Win at the Bowl.
July 15 2011 - Stafford Motor Speedway - Keith would keep the roll rolling as he
picked up Win # 5 in the Wheelers Automotive #88. Career SK Win #80! Keith would finish 3rd in the Late Model
Race.
July 14 2011 - Thompson Speedway - The 50 Lapper - Keith would patiently worked his way threw
the traffic, to fall short since Woody had checked, but a late caution would make the race interesting. On the last
lap Keith would get a run down the backstretch and Woody would throw a block going into turn 3, where slight contact was made
and Keith would clear Woody. Then Woody crossed Keith and they ran side by side banging the entire way. Keith
would beat Woody to the line by two to three feet. At race end Keith would be penialized for "wrecking" the
leader? This would make Keith 5th.
July 9 2011 - Monadnock Speedway - Keith and the M&M Motorsports
Team had a night off and what did they do, went racing. Keith's first visit to the track started out good, a Heat
Race Win. In the feature Keith was running 5th when a track regular spun him out. Since this happeded in the closing
laps Keith rallied back for a 10th.
July 8 2011 - Stafford Motor Speedway - Rained out.
July
7 2011 - Thompson Speedway - Keith and the M&M Motorsports stay on their hot streak with another Win, win #4.
July 2 2011 - Waterford Speedbowl - The night of the "Sweep" - Keith would pick up his third
Mid-Season 100 Lapper Win in a row. It would also be the complete of the "Sweep" which a SK Mod Win Thursday
at Thompson, an SK Win at Stafford on Friday and an SK Mod Win at Waterford on Saturday, all in the same week. To the
best of our knowledge, nobody has ever completed this feat. Keith would his 6th Win at Waterford in a dominating fashion,
it would be his 13 Win in the Mods of the season, his 29th career Mod Win at Waterford and his 78th career Mod Win.
In the Late Model action, Keith would finish 8th in the Scott Fern #1.
July 1 2011 - Stafford Motor Speedway

June

$40,000.00.
June 25 2011 - Waterford Speedbowl - After having some bad luck the last few weeks Keith would
lead this race wire to wire collecting his 5th Win of the season.
June 24 2011 - Stafford Motor Speedway
- MRS Night - Keith would start the night out with a victory in the #7 Late Model. This would be the Teams second win
of the year. In the MRS action Keith and the M&M Motorsports Team were strong all day. Keith would be leading
at Lap 32 when the rains came, just 8 laps short of half way. This race will be continued on July 29th.
June
23 2011 - Thompson Speedway - Rained out
June 18 2011 - Waterford Speedbowl - Double feature night would
not turn out as good as planned. While battling for third with more than half the race remaining, the third place car
lost it collecting Keith hard into the wall, that would be it for the #57 for the night. In the second feature Keith
would drive Diego Monahan's #78. With no practice and making some adjustments based on Diego's first feature.
Keith would move to the front quickly and began pulling away. The caution would fly with 14 laps to go. but a right
rear going flat would send Keith to the pits. Keith would battle back for a solid 6th place finish. A special
thanks go out to Diego Monahan and Critical Signs for letting Keith drive the strong #78.
June 17 2011 -
Stafford Motor Speedway - Rained Out.
June 16 2011 - Thompson Speedway - Keith in his first race back
since dislocating his shoulder, put on a great show with Woody Pitkat swapping the lead back and forth multiple times with
Keith finally finishing second to Woody. Congratulations to Woody Pitkat on his first win with Jimmy Paige's #00.

is sore, but will be much stronger by Thursday.
June 10 2011 - Stafford Motor Speedway - Keith would be
involved in a Heat Race Spin that resulted in a freak injury. A left dislocated shoulder would sideline Keith for the
running of the Coors 100. Keith would not get home from the hospital until 2:30 am. Luckily no surgery was needed
to repair the shoulder.
June 9 2011 - Thompson Speedway - Rained Out
June 4 2011 - Waterford
Speedbowl - The first try this year for the triple was done early as Keith was collected in early race accident which would
pucture the radiator. Keith would drop out finishing 17th.
June 3 2011 - Stafford Motor Speedway -
Back to back Wins for Keith and the Wheeler Automotive Race Team.
June 2 2011 - Thompson Speedway - The
M&M Motorsports Team and Keith got their game back. The #57 Won their second feature of the year in dominating fashion.
May 28 2011 Waterford Speedbowl - The night the Supers came un-glued. Terrible racing in the Super Modified
division leads to a Fog out. Race to be made up June 18th with double features.
May 27 2011 - Stafford
Motor Speedway - Keith and the Wheeler Automotive Team totally rebuild car after hard wreck the previous week, and take the
#88 to a dominating WIN. Special thanks to the entire crew and all their hard work.
May 26 2011 -
Thompson Speedway - Keith and the M&M Motorsports Team finish 5th. Car counts are still shrinkinking at Thompson.
May 21 2011 - Waterford Speedbowl - Never giving up was the theme of the night. Keith was spun while
running second, he was put to the rear for being an accident car as he stopped to avoid a wreck (smart move) and was almost
put to the rear a third time as contact under caution, due to one car checking up before the other. Thgis would not
stop Keith and the M&M Motorsports Team. Keith would work his way up to third, with ttwo laps to go and the caution
would come out. When the green fell Keith made a move to the bottom that I've only seen one other time and when
they exited turn two Keith had the lead. Keith would get the win, which was 4 of 6 at the Bowl, his 6th of the season
for SK's and his 7th overall win of the year.
May 20 2011 - Stafford Motor Speedway - Keith would be
involved in a Heat wreck (wrong place at the wrong time) and he would totally destroy the Wheeler Automotive #88. A
Special Thanks goes out Frank Ruocco for lending Keith his back-up car for the feature. Keith would start last and rally
for an 8th place finish. Hats off to the 88 Crew as they would have the car totally stripped and ready to go to Northeast
Racecars to be fixed. In Late Model action Keith would collect his second 8th place finish of the night.
May
19 2011- Thompson Speedway - Rained out
May 14 2011- Waterford Speedbowl - The first Saturday after
Wednesdays start is usually not a good night due to changing track conditions, but this year Keith did his homework and had
the M&M Motorsports #57 hooked up as he cruised to his 3rd WIN of the season.
May 13 2011- Stafford
Motor Speedway - Friday the 13th was a great night for the #13 of Ted Christopher, and not to bad a night for Keith and the
Wheelers Automotive Team would battle back to 4th from deep in the field.
May 12 2011- Thompson Speedway
- The first Thursday night show of the season, Keith would get up front quick and never look back. Keith and the M&M
Motorsports Team pick-up their first WIN of the season. Keith credited the help of Shane Hopkins for his early season
success.
May7 2011- Waterford Speedbowl - GReat weather during the day would turn into some wacky weather
right before qualifing. Late into the night the track would change, but not the way Keith and the M&M ccrew suspected.
Keith would battle from deep in the pack for a 6th place finish.
May 6 2011- Stafford Motor Speedway - Keith
and the Wheeler Automotive Team started regular Friday nights just the way they ended last year, in Victory Lane. Keith's
first win of the season ties him for fourth on the Stafford SK all-time win list. Late Model action wasn't as good
as the Sizzler, but Keith wheeled the #7 to front before being spun out while running third. Keith would finish deep
in the pack.
May 1 2011 - Stafford Motor Speedway - The SK Mod feature would start off the 60th
annual Spring Sizzler. Keith would have power steering issues early, and after multiple pit stops the Wheeler Automotive
Team would make the repairs. This only left Keith a handful of laps and a 15th starting spot, but this would not slow
Keith as he would enfd the day in 6th place. In the Late Model action Keith would start up front and would battle Woody
Pitkat all day, ending the day in 2nd. After post race inspections Keith would be declared the winner, giving him his
second career win in the Late model division.
April 30 2011 - Waterford Speedbowl - After a good qualifing
day at Stafford, Keith would make it to Waterford in time for the heats. With a last place starting spot in the Heat
and some wide race cars Keith would fall one place short and would start the feature from the 9th position. The night
would end quickly as a lap one accident would collect Keith, this would be his first DNF since 2009. Even with this
first lap accident, Keith and the M&M Motorsports Team would still retain their point lead.
April 23 2011-
Waterford Speedbowl - Rained Out
April 16 2011- Waterford Speedbow l- Rained Out
April 10
2011- Thompson Speedway - Day two of the Ice Breaker wouldn't be as kind to Keith as he was spun while running second.
He would pit and the M&M Motorsports Team would make the proper adjustments. Keith would battle back with a 4th
place finish.
April 9 2011- Thompson Speedway - Keith and the M&M Motorsports Team start the weekend
with a second place finish in the first 25 lapper at the Ice Breaker. Waterford Speedbowl - No practice and a
last place starting place in the heat race is becoming normal for this time of the year. Starting 10th in the feature
Keith would carve his way through the field, finally taking the lead from Ron Yuhas. Keith would finish with his second WIN
in two races and a 3/4 of a straight away lead.
April 3, 2011- Waterford Speedbowl - Keith and the M&M
Motorsports Team start the season the same way they did last year, in Victory Lane. This is Keith's 24th Win at
the Speedbowl with the M&M crew and his 66th career Win. In Late Model action, Keith had the Scott Fearn #1 cruising
in third position, when a blown transmission would end the day. In Valenti MRS action Keith would get the entire 100
laps under his belt, and he would pick up some valuable insight regarding future 100 lap races in the division.
April 2, 2011- Waterford Speedbowl - Qualifing Day. Keith wins SK Mod
Heat and Late Model Heat. Will start both races from the outside pole. Keith will start the Valenti MRS series
race in the 17th position. April 17th at the Aqua Turf in Southington, CT. Keith Rocco is named the 2011 Connecticut Sports Writers Alliance Male Athlete
of the Year.
